Ammonium Sulfate 21-0-0 provides a high source of nitrogen which is what onions need to generate more foliage and therefore more rings and larger bulbs.

Directions: Apply first application 3 weeks after planting, then continue every 2-3 weeks. Sprinkle 1 cup per 20 feet of row. This product readily dissolves in water and can me mixed with 1 cup in a gallon of water to treat one bunch. Apply when tops of onions are dry. Once the neck starts feeling soft do not apply any more fertilizer (approximately 4 weeks prior to harvest). Always water immediately after feeding and maintain moisture during the growing season. Onions need more water closer to harvest.

4 lb. bag will treat 150 ft. of row.

For years, customers have asked what they could use for weed control. It took us awhile, but we’ve finally found an organic pre-emergent herbicide that we have mixed with our special fertilizer blend to provide a one-step product for growing and keeping your onion patch weed-free and growing huge onions. This herbicide will offer 6-8 weeks of control of crabgrass, dandelions, smartweed, redroot, pigweed, purslane, lambs quarters, foxtail, and barnyard grass. After three weeks, you will just need to apply an application of the 10-20-10 Fertilizer Blend every 2 weeks to produce the largest crop in the neighborhood. The four-pound bag will treat 75 square feet. It can be used with transplants, or bulbs that are established, as it attacks the roots of seedlings.

The pre-emergent organic herbicide (corn gluten meal) inhibits the germination of crabgrass, creeping bentgrass, barnyard grass, dandelions, redroot pigweed, purslane, lambsquarter, foxtail, barnyard grass, and Bermuda grass seeds. The organic fertilizer is a mixture of fish emulsion, phosphorous, and potassium. Directions for use: Before transplanting, mix the granules into the soil in planting and between rows. Till into the top three inches of the soil since that is where most weed seeds germinate. Four applications every 4-6 weeks after transplanting provide optimum results. Water product in following each application. A 12 lb. bag treats 450 ft. of row or approximately fifteen bunches for three applications.
